The Company
BACKGROUND
Valledoro was founded in 1954, when Rina Consoli and Ferruccio Zubani converted their family bakery into a workshop for making Bibì Bibò, sweet tasting biscuits formulated to nourish their children in a natural, healthy way. In a short space of time, they were greatly sought after by families all over Brescia.
Even today, with their unmistakable flavour, they are a sweet memory for those who are no longer of a tender age.
The changeover from a small bakery to a production plant was rapid. Demand for their biscuits grew quickly, and the Zubani family specialised in this kind of production. The need to give the company a more distinctive name led to the company being dubbed “Valledoro” [lit. Valley of Gold], which conjures up a picture of the colour of the basic ingredient – wheat – and the values of naturalness, simplicity and intimacy. Towards the end of the 1960s, the company branched out into the production of breadsticks.
Today, with 5 production lines and a wide range of products, including breadsticks, crunchy biscuits and snacks, Valledoro is a rapidly growing company that sells its products all over Italy and abroad.
The company is currently run by Giorgio Zubani and his son Giulio, who represents the third generation of the Valledoro family.
